Motorcycle Rider Course Requirements

Requirements to take the MSF Basic RiderCourse (BRC) with MRH:

  1. Know how to ride and balance a bicycle
  2. Be at least 15 years old on the day the course begins (*Note:  Students under the age of 18 must have parent's/legal guardian's signatures on waivers/releases.) 
  3. If you're 15-24 years of age, you must present a valid automobile driver’s license or learner’s permit
  4. If you're 25 years of age or older, you must present identification documentation to confirm your identity.  (Valid driver's license, learner's permit, passport or Texas ID card)
  5. Sturdy long pants and over-the-ankle footwear
  6. Full-fingered gloves
  7. Long-sleeved shirt or jacket
  8. Protective eyewear
  9. A helmet manufactured to meet U.S. DOT standards (available for loan at no cost.)
  10. A great attitude and willingness to learn!

Requirements to take the MSF Experienced RiderCourse (ERC) with MRH:

  1. A street-ready motorcycle
  2. A valid driver’s license with motorcycle endorsement
  3. Proof of valid motorcycle insurance
  4. A helmet manufactured to meet U.S. DOT standards (Click here to see if your helmet has passed DOT testing)
  5. Protective eyewear
  6. Sturdy, full-fingered gloves
  7. Long sleeved shirt or jacket
  8. Sturdy long pants and over-the-ankle footwear

BRC Weekend Classes:

2-day

Saturday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Sunday: 7:00am - 1:00pm

3-day

Friday 6pm-9pm

Saturday 7:00am-4pm

Sunday 1pm-5pm

BRC Weekday Classes:

Tuesday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Wednesday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
